there was a truce the nations had wrote once all the wars got old to clear battlefields of swords and shields where the army lines had broke
and into the sea where villains would flea no quarter was received and their punishment for the bloody mess was broadcast for all to see and the violence appeased
there was a deal the nations had made so the monarchs all got paid and they made businesses when their citizens and the factories all caved
they're renting us out, they're keeping our stake, they'll keep bending 'till we break but if it's a fight they want we know iron talks and we'll take it to the gates
then without warning, they threw stones but when residents could not defend they packed and left their homes, ran away hoping - while good men, coping say 'time avails' so they sat back, ran down the clocks while battleships took sail
and they'll never know from the history books what was lost
